There has been some stress and worry starting to happen on the
ConUpdate Yahoo list concerning the hotel. As usual, the Con staff
jumped on the challenge to find out what exactly was going on, why some
people were being told the hotel would be closed during Con 2010, and
so on. So here's the scoop:
"It's
official! At the stroke of midnight on April 1, 2009, the Hilton
Detroit/Troy will open its doors as the Ramada Plaza Hotel -
Troy/Detroit Area. This exciting change will help us continue our First
Class service. All future reservations will be converted into our new
systems and we are still eager to assist you at (248) 879-2100.
Reservations can be made by calling the hotel direct, calling 1-800-272-6232, going to ramada.com, or wyndhamrewards.com. Convocation 2010's group code is: CGCN10 "

So
now questions should be answered if there were any. Same place, new
name. If you were merely one of the many waiting to hear if
reservations can be made yet - there is your answer.
The dates for ConVocation 2010 are February 18-21.

Well folks, we have done it. Once again ConVocation has come and gone.
It was fantastic to see all the familiar faces as well as so many new ones. Each year we come together and each year I learn something new, I hope you all do as well.
If you did not have a chance to turn in your evaluation forms at Con, you can mail them to us at 215 W. Troy Street, Suite 1013, Ferndale MI 48220. Do not use the address on the form itself, those didn't get updated from last year.
And like always it seems like we haven't finished celebrating one amaznig year and it is time to start thinking about the next. So just a couple quick notes....
Teacher and Merchant applications for 2010 are available on the Forms page.
Our Transition Ritual will be March 22nd at the hotel at 4pm.
